PUCKHEAD HOCKEY CLUB CHARITIES

Making Hockey Possible For Everyone

Puckhead Hockey Club Charities is a 510(c)3 NonProfit entity that promotes Ice Hockey and related programs and events to help grow the sport of hockey in the US and Canada.  We welcome and invite you to learn more about us, who we are, and how YOU can get involved.

Mission

Puckhead Hockey Club Charities (PHCC) is dedicated to making "Hockey for Everyone" possible. Simply put, we love hockey and the hockey community! Our goals are to make sure that anyone that has ever wanted to play the game is given the opportunity.  Working together we can help to remove the barriers that make getting started in Ice Hockey so difficult. We appreciate all of you that are able to contribute and volunteer to help make Ice Hockey Possible For Everyone. Please consider a one time donation today, or you can also become a monthly donor and/or donate your time as a volunteer.

Long Term Goals

Our immediate goals are to provide free hockey equipment, ice time, and instruction to those in need. We do this through our equipment donation program and our Hockey 101 learn to skate program facilitated by PHCC volunteers that gives new or returning players an opportunity to come out and get personalized instruction free of charge to help them transition into beginner level games.  Our longer term goals are to help create special opportunities for handicapped, special needs, injury rehabilitation, and adaptive sports (such as sled hockey), travel tournaments, special events with pro teams and more.

How it Works?

Your financial donation makes a difference. Our primary goal is to reduce the financial barriers associated with getting started and your financial contributions are very important. Being a community and family with a common love of the sport, we can all work together to make sure everyone has the opportunity to experience the game. We have lots of opportunities to help out. Simply by volunteering your time or resources you can make a difference in the lives of others. Consider helping coach or facilitate one of our special events or assist PHCC admin with special tasks. Ray Ferrier #22

Born in Colorado and raised in Alaska I have always loved Ice Hockey but did not get a chance to play until much later in life.  At 35 I was finally able to play my first game and it has changed my life.  I started Puckhead Hockey Club in 2010 and have committed my life to giving everyone the opportunity to play the game that has given so much to so many.

Gina Caravetta #47

I was born and raised in Southern California; Not your typical hockey town in the late 70’s. I have since relocated to Arizona for the last 14 years as I love the heat and this beautiful state. With my father being from Toronto Canada, the love of hockey was a part of my childhood and a passion of mine my entire life. To me it’s not just a sport or a game it’s a beast inside us like no other, a true love and true passion.

With over 20 years of having season seats with the Los Angeles Kings, “Purple and Gold” still runs through my blood.

Growing up I was always the small one of the family, and being a girl the cards were stacked against me. Hockey was a sport for the boys. Looking back at the time I was sad they didn’t have the support and awareness with Women’s Leagues and Women Hockey as they do now, but hey now is better than never.

Someone asked me 7 years ago, if I love this sport so much, why wasn’t I playing today?  Since that day I threw myself into Hockey. Looking back it was the best decision I ever made. I’m now playing and living my dream. I play every chance I get, making up for lost years. One of the best parts about hockey is that you can start playing at any time in your life, at any level and it makes you feel young again plus it’s one of the greatest workouts you will ever get.

I felt that if I myself can get so much gratitude and happiness from playing Hockey and taking the plunge, I should be sharing this passion with others, and hopefully helping them have that same feeling too. Plus there is no better way to start raising awareness for something I’ve held near and dear to my heart for so long, and be able to share that with others.  PHC Charities has allowed this to become possible for me to share my love of hockey, while making it possible for others and changing their lives at the same time.  Making Hockey for everyone Possible, and raising awareness of the most amazing sport, team, family and group of friends is one of the most rewarding feelings you can have, and I am grateful that I am able to give that gift to everyone I meet. Hope to meet you someday as well, and see you on the ice.

Noah Dunne #4

Hey, I'm Noah Dunne, a proud Arizonian. I discovered my passion for hockey when I was 13 years old, and it has been an incredible journey ever since. Hockey has become a central part of my life, and I've had the privilege of being a part of Puckhead Hockey since 2010. Through this organization, I've not only sharpened my skills on the ice but also formed deep connections with fellow members who share my love for the sport. The sense of camaraderie and teamwork in hockey is something I truly cherish.

Hockey has taught me the value of dedication, discipline, and pushing beyond my limits, both physically and mentally. It continues to be a driving force in my personal and athletic growth.

I'm grateful for the opportunities hockey has provided me and the invaluable lessons it has taught me. I look forward to continuing my journey in the world of hockey, pursuing my passion, and making unforgettable memories along the way.
